Update and Makeup looks

It has been some time since I posted something on this blog. I've been busy with a number of personal things and matters related to my job. Pretty much I'm burned out from many components in my life and needed some time to myself and with people I care about. In addition, I was not sure what I wanted to get with the beauty thing. I did get discouraged. However, I realize I simply need to do and keep on creating even if I get frustrated with myself. I also made the decision to stop making youtube videos for awhile until I can purchase a new recording camera for higher quality videos and photos. In the meantime I will post of other social medial outlets such as twitter and instagram, so check me out there if you want to see what I am up to.

I do have a little something to share, makeup look I've created over the past few weeks so you get a makeup fix.

Makeup Looks of the week and Neutrogena

Welcome to another makeup of the week. This week I decided to play with some colors on the lips and new foundation combinations. I was at CVS looking for something new to try in regards to my foundation. A product that benefits the skin and possibly some anti aging properties for prevention. I picked up Neutrogena Hydro Boosting Tint in 10 Classic Ivory. I was not sure about the color and when I got home realized it was to pale. But I mixed it with another Neutrogena product, Healthy Skin Makeup (Buff) and bam it worked for me. I also picked up the concealer and I'm loving it.

With my makeup looks this week, I really had no goal in mind. I simply wanted to look cute and
use some different lip products in which I did. I realized that Jeffree Star formula is AMAZING. I have to say it's the most comfortable matte liquid lip I own, damn it's so good. I hope you enjoyed my looks and below are some of the product I use on a daily basis.

·      Neutrogena Hydro boost Hydrating Tint Classic Ivory 10
·      Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup Buff 300
·      Nars Creamy Concealer in Vanilla
·      Maybelline Instage Age Rewind Concealer in Fair
·      Fiona Stiles Sheer Sculpting Palette in Light/Medium
·      Real Techniques Blender
·      Tarteist Contour

·      Too Faced Queen Size Mascara

Hearts, Roses, and a whatever

Another Valentine's Day is upon us. A day to spend time with someone you love and celebrate it. However, why not celebrate it everyday? We tend to lose sight of the human connections that matter in our life because we are so caught up trying to make that money to provide basic needs which all comes at a price. Time for money, sleep for work and on. The day tends to be more commercialized, with places over pricing material items and food to show that this is the way you should give your time to the man, woman, and whatever along the spectrum they are something. What is forgotten is that the gifts and time that matter the most come from the heart and are of personal value.

You don't have to have someone in your life to love, you can celebrate yourself or friends. But in general, always celebrate what you care about and don't lose sight of it. That's how alot of people become lost in the world.

With all that I'm saying, lets get back to the make up. Pursuing makeup, not in the professional sense is something I've wanted to do. I told myself well this is nothing, you have to become a doctor or something that has some big value in culture. I realized that value does not have to be placed to what you do and how much money you make. The value comes from pursuing what you want.

I decided to make two makeup look one inspired by Trending at Sephora #metallic and a Classic Red Lip. I was able to make videos this time around so please enjoy them!

A littler glitter, some tie dye, and even more glitter

I'm back to regular schedule in which I'll post something every Friday. Last week I went on a Electronic Dance Music Cruise called Holy Ship 9.0. Departing from Cape Canaveral, FL and gliding the sea to Nassau, Bahamas. It was music through most of the day into evening, good food, and few good people. Of course I had to do as much self expression with what I had through makeup and clothing. As the title states, glitter and tie dye were the main components with proper accessories. I was not able to get the picture quality I wanted or the right poses because I was always in the rush and maybe a little under the influence of strawberry daiquiris and wine.

The first day on my trip before hitting the ship I stayed at a beach hotel. Spent some time at a few clubs, beach, and pool side. Easy glitter liner and a colorful look for the waterside adventure. When it was time to leave, the first night I gotta take it easy and stay comfortable. So I opted for comfy tie dye and for most of the outfits, I paired them with gold metal cat ears

I did not bother with makeup for the look, because I was feeling my sunglasses. However, by night 2 they got stomped on while I was dancing in the crowed. When I did use makeup, I used glitter and items that were easy to transport such was stick foundation, highlighter, dual ended brushes, and palettes with various eyeshadow mediums. What came with me on the trip were:

  • Clinique Foundation Stick, Chubby in the nude in 02 Abundant Alabaster
  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden
  • Milk Cream Highlighter in Super Nova
  • NYX Lip Lingerie and Suedes in various Dark shades
  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder in Medium
  • Tarteist Contour Palette
  • Too Faced Queen Size Mascara
  • Nyx glitter eyeliner and loose glitter
  • Mannymua eyeshadow palette by Makeup Geek and Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette.

  • Here are the rest of the looks from the cruise:

    That no makeup, makeup look.

I will thank Sephora youtube for my inspiration this week. I was watching a few of my favorite food and travel youtubers when I came across the sephora ad for their no makeup, makeup look for 2017. Products featured were Dr. Jart's BB Cream, Benefit's brow products, Bite cosmetics, and other notable brands. The products used are on the pricier end and I saw a few modifications, well rather simplifications I could play on the look. It resulted in creating my own rendition of the look.

I lowered the product count and added my own twist with the eyeliner because I like to use different colors instead of the basic black and brown. I will also note, if you want to cover up blemishes or dark circles I do recommend using your concealer of preference. However, if you need suggestions I recommend:

    1. Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer
    2. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
    3. Naked Skin Weightless Concealer

The base of the face I used Naked Skin One and Done Sheer Foundation in Medium light. The color range is decent but not the ideal range for all skin tones. Sephora used a BB cream and I tend to move away from the BB creams because they have alot of flashback and  make skin lighter which I have no interest in because I want my normal skin tone to be represented. I do not need to be any paler than I am. I realized while writing this, I should find a drug store brand sheer foundation so this look can be switch out for a cost effective combination. As for the distinguishing factor in my look I used Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Mildew, a dark green to line my eyes with. The green does compliment my brown eyes, another color I would opt for is a purple in which I did not have at the time. To add, I should have gone for a NYX line product because I feel that 20$ is not worth it for an eyeliner product. Other products I used were:

NYE makeup, do I need to add gold

Today I spent sometime working on my looks for NYE. I'm heading out to Long Island City instead of the Big Apple this year. There was suppose to be a video on this look but my camera died and I was getting frustrated with myself thus I was hell to the video and well, here I am. With the frustration from making the video, the makeup look did come out decent. In my mind I wanted the different colors to come through, however they blended together and created a very interesting mix.

You can tell that the lips are what pop in this look.  I've come to really like the formula from Smashbox Always on Liquid Lipstick. I'm wearing Bang-Bang and the other color I've been using is Chillzone. I want to purchase the other shades because the formula is comfortable. Matte lip products tend to make your lips very dry and it's not at all comfortable. The Anastasia line of matte lipstick I can't stand for long periods of time. Other lines that are okay are the suedes and lingerie mattes by NYX and the Tarte creamy line.

My face makeup consisted of the mix Tarte Rainforest of the Sea water foundation in Light Neutral and a gifted foundation, Maybelline FIT me! Dewy + Smooth Normal to Dry in Nude Beige. The foundation was set with Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonia Clay Finishing power. The foundation and finishing powder combination was not the best I had because after awhile I could feel the makeup melting off and becoming greasy. When I touched my face, my fingertips left indentations. I use the Lancome Le Duo stick for my face after getting the wrong shade. I was able to make it work! It's is beautiful light product and I did not want it to go to waste. To add to the contour I use my Too Faced Cocoa Contour Palette using medium cocoa. Overall this was the look I made which is not the main look I'm going to use when I go out.

The following look will be one that I will. To see how I got the look and the products that I used, watch the video below.

    Le Duo by Lancome Review

I had to do it when I went to the mall. I entered the sacred ground of all beauty lovers, Sephora. I was in search for some ski pants and found my way into the store. I was looking for a new concealor and came out with the Le Duo by Lancome and a few other beauty products. I was really trying to save for my trip coming up. I tried to rationalized it, but really there is no reason behind my choice. Also, I have my eyes on a highlighter palette that can be a dupe for the AB Moodchild highlighter kit. God, help me please.

I'm trying to add some cream contour and highlight into my makeup collection. I do not want to go for the popularized AB cream contour kit. I wanted something different, something that is not talked about in the beauty community. I was came to the duo when I was in line at Sephora. It looked practical. I was uncertain of the color, I opted for Bisque which was a mistake. There are 5 color choices Ivorie, Buff, Bisque, Suede, and Dore. The range is poor, I'm not surprised though. Such brands tend to to cater to those on the darker spectrum.

The product formula is power cream and it glides on the face like a dream. I feel like I'm placing soft butter on my face, without the grease. The product does reduces down quickly, I was being generous with the product trying to build it up. The product is meant to be subtle. If you are looking for something that will give you a dramatic effect the AB cream contour kit  or NYX cream highlight and contour kit will suffice. To me the novelty of having the product weighs greater then the function. It's a beautiful product for special occasions and feels nice to have.

Red Winter and Christmas Inspired Makeup Looks

The look I failed to publish
It's been a busy two weeks, now I finally have time to catch up on the makeup looks I've created over the past few days. I have the time because I placed a large amount of paid time off before the New Year. I was working on one holiday look, but freaking god. My computer was not powerful enough to process the video. I recorded the look twice and when it was time to export it out after editing, it broke down..sigh.
Date night look a few days ago
At this point I lost the details of the look, however it won't stop me from posting them. God, the look was beautiful.

    Iceskating date night look 12/11
Oh! I did try to edit the settings on my camera, so instead of HD it's one step below such quality. In time I will get a computer that is meant for content creation, till then I will make due with what I have. Hopefully, my video this time will come through. I had so many damn outtakes. Luckily, I was able to create and process my new video which is up now! New Video: A Red Winter ML I really enjoyed this video, it's been awhile since I talked in a video so I really messed up here and there. I realized my voice in fast forward mode really sounds like one of the female chipmunks from Alvin and the Chipmunks. I'll have more detail on the video further down in this post. I do have a two date night looks I created which were not posted on my Instagram. I can't recall the last date night because I had to much wine. The night I went out iceskating I had a lot of fun despite cutting off the circulation in my legs and falling straight on to my face.

    Red Winter

A red winter holiday look. I had an idea on my mind of what I wanted to create, then I just went with the flow of the look.

Back to content creation, Simple night out makeup using Be... by BubzBeauty

It's been about 2 years since I created anything. The reason behind this was, my mind was very scattered and I was uncertain on what I should do. After graduating I was stuck, I was looking for full time work and figuring out if I wanted to become a doctor. The search led me to Nepal for a little bit and few other destinations. I landed a job related to a career I may want. However, a part of me died. The creative side which came in the form of makeup, painting, and photography. With the new year creeping on me and settling a bit with my pursuits, I'm back and ready.

The look I decided to create it very simple and subtle. I did my errands, then went out for a night of wine, pizza, and dancing. I used the Bubzbeauty palette created by BH Cosmetics. The pigmentation is not impressive, yet the colors are rather beautiful. Below I have my youtube video. Click if you want to see how I created the look and for something relaxing if you are trying to unwind. Enjoy!
